Description: Welcome To Renaissance Greater Philadelphia

Our Renaissance Chapter provides a safe, secure meeting place for all transgendered people regardless of race, creed, color, religion or sexual orientation. We offer education, support, and outreach to the transgendered community, their spouses and/or significant others, along with the general public. Meetings are on the third Saturday of every month.

Thinking of attending a Renaissance Greater Philadelphia Chapter (GPC) Meeting for the first time? Come on out and DO it! When you get there, you'll see it's in a secluded area with a lot of parking available. (See photos to the right.) If you're so inclined, wait in your car and watch the front door till your heart stops pounding, but please, eventually come in. Our meetings are composed mainly of MTF crossdressers and transsexuals, with a smattering of significant others, spouses, support and friends, but we are open to all who seek more info about themselves, the transgender community, or any unique shade of grey you happen to be on the gender spectrum. We do not discriminate and we are here to help you navigate, explore and understand your transgender nature.

Our meetings occur every third Saturday of the month and we open the meeting place at 6:30. Attendance varies each month, but we typically have around 40 people attend the meetings. Most of the meeting is social and we are gifted with a comfortable, safe meeting space with room to circulate and socialize. Meetings include a main program of interest to the trans community, a newcomer's orientation meeting, and a light snack and non-alcoholic refreshments. See our Meetup Page for information on meeting programs and events.

Your first visit is free, after that we'll ask you for $10 at the door to defray the costs of rent, food, and outreach projects. If you choose to become a GPC member, that'll cost $20 for the year, and only $5 a visit. Significant others are always free. Since we are volunteer-run, any skills you have to offer to set up a meeting or put it away are always appreciated, plus it's a good way to establish new friendships and meet the people who have been out and about for a while.

If you are a crossdresser in need of a place to change, we have 2 private restrooms that you can use for changing. If you need to know more contact us through the Greater Philadelphia Chapter email box.
