January 2005 Meeting

Greetings to all you lovely members, friends, visitors and guests of The Renaissance Transgender Association. It was really great to see so many of you girls brave the cold to create such a good turnout for our January Meeting. The place was buzzing with activity, and we had 51 members and visitors in attendance. Also our Newcomers meeting was composed of 4 (four) first timers, two of whom were accompanied by their Significant Others. We are glad to see such good attendance. This is what makes our chapter great.

Program:
The main Program was presented by our own Ms. Roz, and was interesting. Sister Roz is our our Outreach Director, and we had an informative discussion of the importance of outreach and volunteerism and what it means to be involved in some way with the operations of the organization. Without the help of many we can accomplish nothing. We are all involved just by belonging and are therefore a part. Renaissance by nature can’t be run by just a few. It takes a team. I like to call it Girl Power. Now I know we all can’t be Chapter Leader, but there are a lot of other little things that we all can do. Help out with the 50/50 sales, or be a Big Sister for the evening and help show new girls around and make them feel at home. After all ladies, nobody likes to go to a place the first time and feel unwelcome. Some newcomers are very shy and need a friendly, "hello, can I help you find your way?" Every little thing helps make a Chapter! ( Try it. You’ll like it. I do.)

Thank You to New Officers:
Chapter Leader: Ms. Rebecca Lohr
Treasurer: Ms. Kristen
Outreach: Ms. Roz
Secretary: Ms Suni Sunshine Dae
(It’s not lady like to thank yourself, so I’ll just say, I’m having fun, and am happy to serve.)
Ms Suni.

Coming Events:
